The municipal authorities of the City of Gliwice and Upper Silesia Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development are honored to invite everyone to the “Festival of Innovation and Technology”, that will host the IV Edition of the Conference named “International Innovation Forum. New Horizons” and International IT Fairs. The event takes place on November 17- 18, 2016 in the Center of Education and Business Nowe Gliwice!

Over the recent years, business environments in Poland have become increasingly aware
of how crucial the role of innovations in establishing and managing the enterprises is. The demand for operations aimed at promoting of sustainable innovativeness, combining economic, IT and social issues, has been widely recognized. Currently, these challenges are not barely temporary matters or trendy actions, yet they are also an indispensable component of development in each section of the economy.

As for now, Gliwice, belonging to the World Technopolis Association, is one of the national leaders in the state-of-the-art high-tech industry. The city attracts the entities with is dynamically expanding economic zone, featuring over PLN 9 billion, the foreign capital has invested only in Gliwice itself, strong position on the logistics map of Europe as well as human resources, providing well-educated engineer’s staff. – Gliwice is a development-oriented the city. Numerous companies from various industries have located their branches here, and, in the recent years, we have been witnessing a particular expansion of the knowledge-based economy. Presently, we are perceived as an innovative city, focused on new technologies. Our ultimate goal is to follow this direction and that’s why we bolster a collaboration of science and industry, by organizing conferences on innovativeness – said Adam Neumann, Vice Mayor of the City of Gliwice, at the III Edition of the Conference.

Owing to its unique formula, the Festival of Innovation and Technology supports and promotes a new approach to business running, non-standard educational methods, a fresh, exceptional look at business and social issues. The target group the offer is directed to covers both creators and recipients of broadly defined innovative ventures. What should an event participant expect from it? A dozen of panel sessions, workshops, presentations, business meetings and IT fairs.

The Festival of Innovation and Technology will host the IV Edition of the Conference named „International Innovation Forum. New Horizons”, giving the review on the output in the field of innovations and entrepreneurship within IT industry, and discussing the issue of trends and current difficulties faced by the industry. The panelists, invited to participate in this event – Polish and foreign experts and passionate of new technologies – will go through ICT Key Enabling Technology; financing of innovations in IT and technologies; high social mobile technology; telemedicine, medical robotic, advanced technologies of biomedical engineering as well as new trends and challenges the automotive and aviation industries are exposed to. In parallel, International IT Fairs will take place, providing the participants with an opportunity to learn on innovative businesses, presenting their ideas and ready-to-use products, attend matchmaking meetings addressed to entrepreneurs and design thinking workshops.
