The Mayor of Gliwice, Zygmunt Frankiewicz, has invited journalists from Europe’s major business media to learn about the investment potential of the city which is systematically strengthening its position in the logistics, construction and automotive sectors.
Journalists from Germany, France, Belgium, Austria and the United Kingdom, representing publications such as “Property Week”, “Deutsche Welle”, “Automotive Logistics”, “Wiener Zeitung” and “Property Investor Europe” will arrive in Gliwice on September 10, as part of the Gliwice International Business Press Tour.
“International Business Press Tour to Gliwice is a part of our promotional strategy, which precedes and is complementary to the city’s presence at the international Expo Real investment fair in Munich,” said Katarzyna Kobierska, Director of City Development Bureau.
The journalists will visit the Katowice Special Economic Zone, Gliwice Sub-Zone and meet representatives from companies such as General Motors, the Silesian Logistics Centre and Aiut. The guests will learn about the region’s investment opportunities, the economy and the real-estate market. They will also participate in a panel discussion at the World Technopolis Association general assembly and visit the construction site of the Europa Centralna shopping center. Additionally they will meet companies from the new technologies sector of (eg. i3D and Flytronic).
“We intend to take advantage of this visit, so that our guests shall leave with an extensive knowledge of the City’s potential, but even more importantly the knowledge should be spread in their countries”, said Zygmunt Frankiewicz, the Mayor of Gliwice.
The visiting Partners include: Colliers International, Grant Thornton Frąckowiak, Katowice Special Economic Zone, Silesian Logistics Center, Segro, Helical Poland, General Motors Manufacturing Poland, Aiut, Müller – Die lila Logistik Poland, as well as Technopark and the Nowe Gliwice, Business & Knowledge centre.
