On 22 June this year, Bydgoszcz – one of the largest Polish cities, known for the Mill Island, the historic granaries on the Brda River, and the world’s largest arts festival dedicated to the cinematographers will become a venue of the conference

Bydgoszcz – Polish New Production and Logistics Centre

The event will be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on the effective development opportunities of the city, especially the logistics industry, among the representatives of the local authorities, developers, logistics and manufacturing companies, and market analysts.

In the Polish market now, it is time for the investors to explore the new locations, which used to be outside the mainstream. It provides Bydgoszcz and the Kujawy-Pomerania Province with a great opportunity and becomes a challenge that the region may benefit from. The central Poland’s location at the intersection of the national roads and the rail routes linking Warsaw, Tricity (Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot), and Poznań, the International Airport located 3.5 km from the city centre, being a part of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park, the attractive investment land, and lower, in comparison to other cities, labour costs are the important advantages in the process of building a strong position in the logistics industry.

Although Bydgoszcz has not played a significant role in the Polish logistic map, it certainly has a great potential in the long term. The decision on locating the logistics centres and warehouses to serve both the local and international markets can be positively influenced by, for instance, putting the S5 expressway connecting Bydgoszcz with Poznań and Wrocław and the S10 expressway connecting Bydgoszcz and Szczecin into operation.

The Conference will be an opportunity for dialogue among the municipal authorities and the industry leaders, as well as a great place to establish new contacts.

The Bydgoszcz strengths and the economic conditions in the context of the development of the modern warehouse and production parks; the factors influencing the investment decisions of the warehouse and distribution centre developers; the effective implementation of the just-in-time production and lean management, as well as the tenants’ expectations in the nowadays business reality are the topics suggested by the organisers.

We want to invite Mr. Rafał Bruski, Mayor of Bydgoszcz, Ms. Maria Wasiak, Minister of Infrastructure and Development, Ms. Edyta Wiwatowska, President of the Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency, Ms. Teresa Kamińska, President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Mr. Robert Piotrak, President of the Polish Association of Managers, Mr. Grzegorz Szyszka, PhD, Director of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, the representatives of the construction, logistics, and production companies, as well as the Polish and foreign industry experts to participate in the event.
